This CE/UKCA marking standard demonstrates our compliance with European and UK legislation for structural steelwork. It certifies that we meet strict requirements for welding, materials traceability, factory production control, and fabrication processes. Our certification covers Execution Class 2, enabling us to fabricate and install structural components for buildings, vessels, and large-scale infrastructure.
UKCA Marking – Execution Class 2
As part of our BS EN 1090 certification, SME Engineering is authorised to carry out steelwork fabrication to Execution Class 2 under the UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) scheme. This means we’re certified to manufacture and install load-bearing structural components used in permanent structures such as public buildings, commercial developments, and marine frameworks.
